When it comes to translation fees, they can vary considerably, depending on several affecting factors, including but not limited to language pair, complexity of text, volume of text, urgency of project, language variant, and post-translation support. Given all of these, general translation fees of the most common languages in Cambodia’s current translation industry market are shown hereunder. However, they are indeed mostly indicative of and prove the cases for customers to look at and decide next.

PTTC engages with and uniquely offers numerous translation services and can produce certified, notarized and legalized translations combined, catering to its domestic or/and overseas customers’ particular needs and requirements, regardless of who they are (natural persons or legal entities), such as document translation, website translation, localization, editing-proofreading, audio and video transcription (subtitling, dubbing and voicing-over), and interpretation; it is specifically involved with translating and certifying various types of documents in any language, sector, and format. 

Following are the most common document types mostly requested by customers and executed by PTTC through its professional experience since its inception so far:

1. General translation fees for the most common languages: The fees are generally charged, subject to word or character count against either the source text or target text, e.g. 300 English words or 1,500 Khmer characters deemed as 1 page for English to Khmer and vice versa translation project. However, we recommend you share your actual project so that we could draw up and issue you with an official quote with an exact price given.

Nevertheless, such a thing is not always the case, translation fees are sometimes as a result of price calculation conducted per word mostly against the source text or per hour instead:

• Per Word:

1. Price range of $ 0.05 to $ 0.25 for general document translation
2. Price range of $ 0.10 to $ 0.35 for technical or legal or medical document translation

• Per Hour: Fees typically range from $ 30 to $ 50 per hour and for interpretation services only

2. In sharp contrast to the abovementioned pricing methods, the following fixed translation fees are expressly stated yet apply to form or model or/and administrative documents which need to be translated from Khmer into English language only:
